After Barcelona, my family flew home and I went to Berlin to visit my friend for 5 days. #baguettesquad2k15 went #baguettesquadsolo. Then I flew back to Zurich to visit the family friends I had stayed with a couple weeks before.

Instagram Round Up: Barcelona, Spain August 2015
I'm back, I'm back with more!
After 5 days in Switzerland, we flew from Geneva to Barcelona. In Barcelona, I found their Design museum, Museo del Disseny, and spent a wonderful day exploring the exhibits.
Next week is the last part of the Europe trip Instagram photos. Guess where I go next?

Instagram Round Up: Paris, France August 2015
Hello again! Sorry for the hiatus. My stored-up posts ran out when school started up again, and it's taken me too long to come back and post!
For the next couple weeks, I'll be posting photos from my adventures in Europe. A post will go up every Wednesday, and after that we'll see how busy I am with college apps. We might have to switch to every other week for the rest of the school year.
You'll also notice that this post looks much fancier than the past Instagram posts...I finally figured out how to embed! Yay!
So, let's start! I flew from San Francisco to Paris, France on July 31st to start the Great European Adventure...

White and Red Lace Skirt
I started this project probably two years ago. I can't remember why exactly I didn't finish it until know, but if it wasn't memorable, then it wasn't a good reason. And that's the truth.
It's nothing special, just a circle skirt. I tried it on and decided it wasn't really my style anymore. I decided to give it to a friend who I think will enjoy it more.
Red stretch lace over a white lycra blend.
Encased elastic waistband.
Yup. That's all there is. It was much shorter on my friend than myself, so we didn't want to risk hemming it and having it end up too short.
The part of this project I really liked was the red lace. I liked the pattern two years ago and still like it now, so maybe you'll see another project with it! (But hopefully in less than two years.)

Pen Pouch
A classmate of mine commissioned me to make a pouch for his fountain pen. An interesting project, but as most of you know, I'm up for making just about anything.
He created a fabric on Spoonflower and ordered a sample swatch of it, which was all I needed for the project.
Button closure, felt lining. The pictures really say everything about it.

Black and White Tank Top
It's another Alabama Chanin project! Speaking of which, I got to meet Natalie Chanin again in July! She was at Heath Ceramics and had an art exhibit in their Boiler Room. There were racks of beautiful clothes, absolutely amazing. Such an inspirational event.
I made another tank top, but with some fun fabric this time. Same as before, I machine-stitched the interior seams and felled the neckline and attached the armholes by hand.
Did a little crossover in the front to finish it. I liked the raw edge on the neckline.
I whipstitched the armhole so it would still be stretchy. The fabric I used was very stretchy, so I wanted to use a stitch that wouldn't hinder the stretch.
And finally, the back.
It should have been a quick project, but it spent several months in my project box while I was forgetting to do get more white button craft thread to finish 2 inches of the armhole.
